Dogs are welcome to dress up for the Costume Contest or simply come ready to walk, make friends, and enjoy the festival.

Meeting Riverview for the first time?
Welcome! We’re glad you found us.
Riverview Pet Lodge provides professional care for dogs and cats on the Southern Oregon Coast. The parade is a relaxed opportunity to meet members of our team, ask questions, and learn more about our approach to pet care.
There is no pressure or obligation. Come enjoy the parade, meet some dogs, and get to know the people behind Riverview.
If you’re curious about what happens behind the scenes, you can read about how we clean our boarding facility to help keep pets safe and how we balance outdoor play with the rest dogs need.

New dogs can receive a free Meet & Greet
Before a new dog stays with us, we begin with a Meet & Greet. This gives your dog an opportunity to explore Riverview, meet our team, and become familiar with the environment.
It also gives us time to learn about your dog’s personality, routine, comfort level, and individual needs.
During the Prancing Pet Parade, we’ll be offering a free Meet & Greet for dogs that are new to Riverview. Our team can explain how it works, answer your questions, and help you arrange an appointment if Riverview feels like a good fit for your family.
Wondering whether daycare or a social boarding environment might suit your dog? Our guide to figuring out whether your dog is a good fit for dog daycare explains what we consider during the Meet & Greet.
You can also review Riverview’s vaccination protocols before scheduling. Dogs participating in the public parade do not need to complete a Riverview Meet & Greet; these requirements apply when your dog begins using Riverview services.

These are some of the most common topics new families ask about. You are also welcome to bring your questions to the parade and speak with our team in person.
What to bring
Please bring:
Your dog on a secure leash
Waste bags
Water as needed
A costume if your dog is entering the contest
Your best Cranberry Festival spirit
Because the festival can be busy, dogs should be reasonably comfortable around other dogs, people, activity, and noise. Please supervise your dog and clean up after them throughout the event.
If a busy parade environment isn’t right for your dog, you are still welcome to stop by the Riverview table without them and meet our team.
Come prance with us
Whether we’ve cared for your pets for years or haven’t met your family yet, we would love to see you at the Prancing Pet Parade.
Come celebrate the dogs that make our community happier, enjoy a beloved Bandon tradition, and spend the morning with people who understand just how much pets mean to their families.
After all, it’s the only parade where pee breaks are acceptable!
Registration opens at 9:00 AM by Devon’s Boutique. The parade begins at 9:30 AM on Sunday, September 13.
We can’t wait to see you there.
